Atlanta, Ga. — Today, the Jon Ossoff for Senate campaign is releasing a new video, “Mike Collins: Will you testify?” to demand that the GOP U.S. Senate nominee testify in the ongoing ethics investigation into his misuse of taxpayer dollars.
The video also highlights members of Collins’ own party and conservative commentary raising concerns about the congressman’s ethics probe.
Last week, ethics experts Tiffany Muller, President of End Citizens United, and Ambassador Norm Eisen, co-founder and Board Member of the Democracy Defenders Action, sounded the alarm and demanded that Collins be transparent with Georgia voters after months of refusing to cooperate with the ethics investigation into his misuse of taxpayer dollars.
The active federal ethics investigation is just one of many scandals that have so far defined Collins’ campaign. Throughout his U.S. Senate bid, Collins has faced scandal after scandal, including his disturbing “close ties” to white nationalism and his office’s work with notorious white nationalists – such as Nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer – to try to get a Holocaust denier out of jail. Collins has also faced public outrage over his antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and his praise for the viciously racist harassment with monkey sounds of a Black woman on a college campus.
“Scandal-ridden Mike Collins continues to refuse to cooperate and must testify as part of the probe into his illegal use of federal tax dollars. Georgians deserve answers,” said Ossoff Campaign Manager Ellen Foster.
