NEW OSSOFF CAMPAIGN VIDEO: “No Answers”

Atlanta, Ga. — Today, the Jon Ossoff for Senate campaign is releasing a new video, “No Answers compiling local and national news reports detailing how GOP U.S. Senate nominee Mike Collins “abruptly ended” a press conference last week after being questioned multiple times by multiple reporters about his ties to white nationalism.

The press conference was one of Collins’ first open press events since becoming the Republican nominee on June 16th. The GOP congressman’s meltdown came after he continues to be under intense scrutiny for propping up neo-Nazi propagandist David Alan Scheer, whose close ties to the congressman include being “featured in campaign photos, registered to vote at a Collins-owned property” and “appearing at his victory party.” CNN also revealed that Collins is refusing to say whether he ever paid the neo-Nazi propagandist either personally, or through his business, his campaign, or his office.

Collins is facing a slew of additional scandals related to his extensive ties to white nationalism, including reporting that revealed that his office worked with white nationalists – including Nick Fuentes – to try to free a Holocaust denier out from jail, his antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter, and his praise for a young man who harassed a Black woman by making monkey sounds.

Following Collins running away from reporters, Senator Jon Ossoff responded and addressed members of the media, challenging his Republican opponent Mike Collins to answer new questions, including whether Collins plans to “release every email, every text message, every Signal message, and every other communication between his office and his staff and these notorious white supremacists” and if the congressman will “apologize for his office’s documented links to some of the nation’s most notorious white supremacists.”

“Scandal-ridden Mike Collins continues to refuse to answer or apologize for his extensive ties to white nationalism. Georgians deserve answers,” said Ossoff Campaign Manager Ellen Foster.
