Ossoff Statement on Act of Violence Against Campaign Supporter in Stockbridge

Atlanta, Ga. — Earlier today, a Jon Ossoff for Senate supporter was allegedly assaulted and punched in the face along Hudson Bridge Road near I-75 in Stockbridge, Georgia. According to Matt Johnson of WSB-TV Atlanta, the suspect was arrested and charged with battery, and the victim thankfully suffered only minor injuries.

In response, investigative journalist and Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Jon Ossoff released the following statement:

“There aren’t even words to explain how completely unacceptable this kind of violence is toward any human being. I hope the other candidates in this runoff election will join me in condemning this and I’m calling on all of our supporters to treat each other with respect.”
