Hundreds of volunteers turned up for thank you event; campaign signed up more than 200 new volunteer shifts

DUNWOODY, GA – On Saturday, April 29th, Jon Ossoff, candidate for Congress in Georgia’s Sixth District, gathered with more than 300 volunteers and supporters at Georgetown Park in Dunwoody to thank them for their hard work and activism, which led to a first-place finish on April 18th.

Ossoff applauded the volunteers for knocking on more than a quarter-million doors during the primary, which led to remarkable and historic turnout on April 18th. In particular, Ossoff thanked the women who have driven the campaign from the beginning. Ossoff emphasized that their continued activism, based on neighbor-to-neighbor conversations, will be critical to the campaign’s success in the runoff on June 20th.

“Thank you so much for coming out today. The untold story of this campaign is how a community is being built, not around me, but around all of us.

“So for everything that you have done, as a part of this team, over the last couple of months, thank you … This campaign has very little to do with me, it mostly has to do with the women in this community who are stepping up and organizing … Let’s keep reaching out and building this community and standing up for this community.”
