Sen. Ossoff: “You’ve got a sitting member of the U.S. House, who we know has had neo-Nazi propaganda produced on his property. Apparently, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, that continues to this day. Even if he weren’t running for the U.S. Senate, is this not one of the most significant political scandals in Georgia’s history?”
Atlanta, Ga. — Today, Senator Jon Ossoff held a press conference to demand that GOP U.S. Senate nominee Mike Collins release every form of communication between himself, his associates, and any notorious white nationalists with ties to Collins or his office.
Sen. Ossoff’s demands follow the sudden replacement of Collins’ top aide, Kip Talley, who was revealed to have worked with white nationalists, including Nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer, to try to get a Holocaust denier out of jail.
Collins’ U.S. Senate campaign has been plagued by a number of controversies, including recent Washington Post reporting that exposed a former Collins staffer who uplifted Nazi imagery and depicted himself in a costume of the Ku Klux Klan, and an ongoing federal investigation into Collins by the House Ethics Committee. Collins has also faced public outrage over his antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and his praise for the viciously racist harassment with monkey sounds of a Black woman on a college campus.

“We know these facts to be true because part of those communications leaked, and you see them right here,” said Sen. Ossoff. “Mr. Talley, senior aide to Congressman Mike Collins, informing these white nationalists he’s ‘going to try to use the levers of the legislative branch’ on behalf of this prominent white nationalist. We see the same aide characterizing his relationship with senior law enforcement officials […]. Again, this is a senior aide to Congressman Mike Collins using official power, using the congressman’s office, to contact officials at the FBI and the Department of Justice in order to secure the release of a prominent Holocaust denier.”
