Atlanta, Ga. — Today, media executive, investigative journalist, and U.S. Senate candidate Jon Ossoff announced $738,539 raised between April 1 and May 20 for his bid to unseat Senator David Perdue (R-Ga.).

In the seven-week span, Ossoff received over 15,500 contributions, with an average contribution of just $46, highlighting his grassroots support and momentum — all without accepting any contributions from corporate PACs.

Since launching his campaign, Ossoff has received 17,491 donations from within the state of Georgia, and Ossoff’s campaign has more than 8,525 Georgia donors in 132 counties.

Meanwhile, Ossoff’s statewide outreach has made the race with Perdue neck-and-neck.

recent Civiqs poll found Ossoff leading Perdue 47-45 percent. GOP internal polling has found the race is a dead heat, while expert political analysts like The Cook Political Report have upgraded the race for Democrats in light of Ossoff’s strong polling against Perdue.

The race has tightened as Perdue struggles to explain himself while defending against allegations of insider trading and financial misconduct.

“While Perdue has been exploiting a pandemic to enrich himself, we’ve been building a people-powered grassroots juggernaut that will remove our corrupt Senator from office,” said Ossoff.“We are building unstoppable grassroots momentum in this race, the likes of which Senator Perdue has never seen. This shambles of an Administration and its corrupt enablers in Congress have disgraced themselves. The people are demanding change.”
