Atlanta, Ga. — A new column in the AJC highlights how Senator Jon Ossoff and gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms are partnering on the Democratic ticket to build an unstoppable winning coalition that will deliver victories up and down the ballot across Georgia in November.

While Democrats are united and have an early start on mobilizing ahead of November, Republicans’ continued chaos has resulted in runoff elections in both the U.S. Senate and Governor races. For the next nearly four weeks, Mike Collins and Derek Dooley are locked in a “bruising and deeply expensive” brawl in the GOP U.S. Senate runoff.

• Shortly after Keisha Lance Bottoms secured the Democratic nomination for Georgia governor Tuesday night, U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff called her with enthusiastic congratulations on her victory.

• That same night, Ossoff posted a note to social media, intentionally positive and complimentary. “Congratulations to @KeishaBottoms on a well-fought victory,” it began. 

• After a note about GOP infighting, Ossoff projected Democratic unity and optimism about the general election ahead with Bottoms joining him at the top of the ticket.
