Atlanta, Ga. — Sen. Jon Ossoff’s re-election campaign continues to build unstoppable momentum at the start of the General Election for Georgia’s U.S. Senate race and today announced a robust war chest of over $42 million cash on hand, having raised $20 million in the second quarter of 2026 to his campaign account.
The Senator’s robust Q2 announcement comes four months out from Election Day and follows a troubling Supreme Court decision that’s widely expected to open up the floodgates for unlimited sums of dark money to prop up GOP candidates in states like Georgia and across the country in the 2026 midterms.
Sen. Ossoff is already facing millions of dollars of Republican spending against him, including a $44 million initial pledge from the Senate Leadership Fund, the group’s “largest investment ever in Georgia outside of runoff elections.” As he enters the General Election as the only Democratic Senator up for re-election in a state that Donald Trump won in 2024, Sen. Ossoff has built a juggernaut overwhelmingly powered by small-dollar donors; nearly 340,000 of Q2 contributions were from donors who had given less than $200 cumulatively, and the average Q2 donation was $42 among more than over 474,000 donations.
The Senator’s Q2 haul shows incredible momentum for Democrats across the state, having raised an additional 1.5 million-plus dollars into joint accounts, including with the Democratic Party of Georgia. Sen. Ossoff also continues to earn strong support across Georgia, having received donations from nearly all 159 of the state’s counties.
Meanwhile, Sen. Ossoff’s opponent Mike Collins continues to face a slew of scandals, including an active federal investigation into the illegal misuse of tax dollars, renewed scrutiny over Collins’ office’s ties to prominent white supremacists and efforts to free a Holocaust denier from jail, as well as outrage over his antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and praise for a young man who harassed a Black woman by making monkey sounds.
“The Ossoff campaign is building unstoppable grassroots momentum to push back against Republican dark money, power our massive and winning coalition over the next four months, and resoundingly defeat Trump loyalist Mike Collins at the ballot box come November,” Campaign Manager Ellen Foster said.
