Since he was elected, Ossoff has become known for investigations of abuse and corruption
Ossoff’s investigation found hundreds of foster kids in State of Georgia’s care were likely sex trafficked; Ossoff later passed bipartisan law to fight child sex trafficking and abuse
Atlanta, Ga. — Today, Jon Ossoff for Senate released the campaign’s first TV ad of the cycle, titled “Our Kids.” The ad highlights Sen. Ossoff’s work investigating the mistreatment of foster children and later passage into law of Sen. Ossoff’s bipartisan bill to fight child sex trafficking and abuse after his investigation found that kids in Georgia’s foster care system were likely sex trafficked while under state care.
Since he was elected, Sen. Ossoff has become known for investigations of abuse and corruption, from the federal prison system to military housing on bases in Georgia. Now he’s leaning into that record by touting his work investigating the abuse of Georgia foster kids and the bipartisan bill he passed to fight child trafficking and child sexual abuse.
In 2023, Sen. Ossoff investigated the abuse of foster children following reports from independent watchdogs and the press that children in the care of Georgia’s Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) had been subjected to abuse and neglect.
After concluding the foster care investigation, Sen. Ossoff then introduced and passed into law bipartisan legislation to fight child sex trafficking and online sexual abuse.
“Sen. Ossoff has a track record of exposing abuse and corruption and he cares deeply about protecting vulnerable children. That’s why he investigated the safety of foster children, exposed the truth, and then passed bipartisan legislation to help law enforcement prosecute criminals who target children,” said Campaign Manager Ellen Foster.
The release of the ad comes as Sen. Ossoff’s Republican opponent, Mike Collins, faces an active federal investigation into the illegal misuse of tax dollars as well as outrage over his antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and praise for the harassment of a Black woman with monkey sounds.
The ad will run on broadcast television, streaming and digital platforms as part of a high six-figure first-week buy.

[Sen. Ossoff] Those could be my daughters, or any of our kids.
[WAGA] Hundreds of children sex trafficked while under state care.
[Sen. Ossoff] And we passed a new law to help stop it.
[WSB-TV] A new anti-trafficking bill is now federal law… Jon Ossoff wrote the bill.
