In New Thanksgiving-Centered Ad, Ossoff Thanks Essential Workers, Details Plan to Jumpstart Economy

“And when we get this done, next year it’s Thanksgiving with the whole family.”

Atlanta, Ga. — Today, investigative journalist and Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Jon Ossoff released his newest ad, “Thanksgiving,” voicing his deep gratitude for Georgia’s essential workers and calling for immediate relief for working families and small businesses and unity to beat the COVID-19 pandemic under the Biden administration.

As Georgians prepare to spend Thanksgiving and the holidays without much extended family as the virus rampages out of control nationwide, Ossoff lays out the urgency of working with President-elect Joe Biden to implement a national health strategy to fight the pandemic and revive communities across the state by jumpstarting the economic recovery.

I’ll work with Joe Biden to beat the virus, empowering medical experts to implement a national health strategy with free testing and vaccinations, to provide immediate financial relief for working families and small businesses, and an infrastructure and jobs program that will jumpstart our economy,” Ossoff says in the ad. “And when we get this done, next year it’s Thanksgiving with the whole family.”

While Ossoff has centered the sacrifices so many Georgians have made and the pain working families continue to face, Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) has made it clear that he should be in office to obstruct the Biden administration, continues to avoid discussion of the pandemic, and has no plan to combat it.

Georgia is grateful.

“For the doctors, nurses, first responders.

For those who sacrificed to keep the lights on, to keep us fed, to keep us safe, to keep us moving.

For the teachers who have gone above and beyond, for the love and support of our families.

Everybody in Georgia is thankful for everyone who stepped up to get us through this year, and now, it’s time to step up for them — to reunite our country and end this crisis.

I’ll work with Joe Biden to beat the virus, empowering medical experts to implement a national health strategy with free testing and vaccinations, to provide immediate financial relief for working families and small businesses, and an infrastructure and jobs program that will jumpstart our economy.

And when we get this done, next year it’s Thanksgiving with the whole family.

To all who have given so much this year, thank you.”
