Atlanta, Ga. — New reporting from CNN’s Inside Politics reveals that Trump loyalist and GOP U.S. Senate nominee Mike Collins continues to peddle 2020 election denial claims nearly six years later, once again doing the President’s bidding and doubling down on the debunked claim that Donald Trump won Georgia in the 2020 Presidential election.
The interview comes just a day after Senator Ossoff went on offense in Savannah in front of an energized crowd of over 1,000 Georgians, labeling Collins an election denier and slamming him for his extensive history of corruption scandals and bigotry. Collins faces an active investigation into the illegal misuse of tax dollars and outrage over his record of bigotry, which includes the blatantly antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and support for the harassment of a Black woman with monkey sounds.
Addressing supporters in Savannah, Sen. Ossoff said: “…Here in Georgia, [Trump] wants to send an election denier to the U.S. Senate. Mike Collins, who’s pro-war and pro-tariff and pro-cutting your health care, he proudly defends the violent mob that sacked the Capitol on January 6th to throw out your votes and install a defeated President.”

“Now, Collins has had several controversies with his former Chief of Staff, who you know, he is someone who actually came in already full of controversies for kicking a dog and for, you know, battery and trespassing convictions. So, for him to then have issues in the campaign and say ‘I took care of it,’ is not really the most, you know, biggest bragging point for Collins,” said Olivia Beavers.
“And Collins has a lot of big social media history, he’s facing a House Ethics Investigation, Collins said he’s not done anything wrong…” said Manu Raju.
