NEW OSSOFF TV AD: Ossoff Hits Mike Collins for Vote Against Releasing the Epstein Files

Collins voted against releasing the Epstein files and only changed his tune when Trump gave him the okay

Atlanta, GA — Today, Jon Ossoff for Senate released the campaign’s first TV attack ad of the cycle, titled “The Vote,” slamming the Republican Senate nominee after Mike Collins voted against releasing the Epstein files and only voted to release them once Trump said he could.

The ad features a police sergeant who investigated sexual abuse and condemns Collins for voting against releasing the Epstein files.

On July 15th, 2025, Collins voted against releasing the Epstein files even after it was revealed Epstein sexually abused girls as young as 14. That vote against releasing the Epstein files was widely reported on at the time. Collins only later voted to release them once Trump gave his Congressional allies permission, a “dramatic reversal for GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill,” amid pressure from Republican members like Marjorie Taylor Greene who called the president a “traitor” over his handling of the files. Collins’ reversal was reported at the time by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and followed months of pressure by Sen. Ossoff on his opponents to support the release. Under pressure from Sen. Ossoff, Collins’ spokesperson had previously echoed President Trump’s dismissal of the issue as a “hoax.”

Collins is a Trump loyalist and MAGA extremist who describes himself as 100% MAGA and has voted with Trump 100% of the time.

“Mike Collins voted to cover up the Epstein files, even after we learned girls as young as 14 were abused. Senator Ossoff has a track record exposing abuse and corruption and he cares deeply about protecting vulnerable children,” said Campaign Manager Ellen Foster.

While Collins has protected powerful elites, Sen. Ossoff has become known for investigations of abuse and corruption, from the corruption in the federal prison system to the mistreatment of military families on bases in Georgia. The campaign’s first TV ad of the cycle, titled  “Our Kids,” highlighted Sen. Ossoff’s work investigating the mistreatment of foster children and passage into law of Sen. Ossoff’s bipartisan bill to fight child sex trafficking and abuse after the Senator’s investigation found that kids in Georgia’s foster care system were likely sex trafficked while under state care.

The release of the ad comes as Collins faces a slew of scandals, including an active federal investigation into the illegal misuse of tax dollars, renewed scrutiny over Collins’ office’s ties to prominent white supremacists and its efforts to free a Holocaust denier, as well as outrage over his antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and praise for the viciously racist harassment with monkey sounds of a Black woman on a college campus.

The ad will run on broadcast television, streaming and digital platforms as part of a seven figure statewide buy.

[Sgt. Austin] I’ve investigated cases of sexual assault, and people need to know the truth about Mike Collins.

[Sgt. Austin] Mike Collins voted against releasing the Epstein files, even after he knew Epstein’s sex trafficking operation exploited 14 year old girls for sex.

[Sgt. Austin] Mike Collins protected powerful elites instead of our children.

[Sgt. Austin] Jon Ossoff is going after the powerful, and passed a law to stop child sex trafficking.

[Sgt. Austin] We need Jon in the Senate.

[Sen. Ossoff] I’m Jon Ossoff, and I approve this message.
