Sen. Ossoff: “Both of my opponents are pro-war, both of my opponents are pro-tariffs, both of my opponents are pro-cutting health care. They are doing everything they can to try to win the president’s favor, and they will work for him if they are elected to the Senate, not for the people of the great state of Georgia.”

Atlanta, Ga. — Senator Jon Ossoff joined V-103’s Atlanta Up Close with Dr. Maria Boynton yesterday where he slammed his Republican opponents for failing to stand up to Donald Trump’s corruption – including posturing as Trump’s puppets by supporting the president’s policies, which doubled health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians and wreaked havoc on our economy. 

While Democrats are united and have an early start on mobilizing ahead of November, Republicans’ ongoing chaos is set to continue in the lead-up to the GOP runoff election with Mike Collins and Derek Dooley locked in a “bruising and deeply expensive” brawl for the GOP U.S. Senate nomination.

“The central crisis is that Americans cannot afford health care, and with health insurance premiums skyrocketing, with pharmaceutical companies ripping people off, I think that we can unite people to tackle those issues. Just as we were able to unite Democrats to cap the cost of insulin at $35, I think we’ll be able to unite folks to repeal these Medicaid cuts. I think we’ll be able to unite folks to restore those Affordable Care Act benefits, so that folks aren’t seeing their health insurance premiums double,” Sen. Ossoff said.
