President Obama: “If we vote like our lives depend on it, because they do, we will elect Jon Ossoff to the United States Senate.”
Atlanta, Ga. — Today, investigative journalist and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Jon Ossoff released his latest ad, “Prepared,” which features President Barack Obama highlighting Ossoff’s career fighting injustice, his mentorship by Congressman John Lewis (D-Ga.), and his commitment to priorities like passing a new Voting Rights Act and empowering medical experts to beat the coronavirus.
In the ad, President Obama roots Ossoff’s commitment to public service in his mentorship by Congressman Lewis, and details the urgency of passing “a new Voting Rights Act that makes sure every Georgian is treated equally under the law.”
He continues by highlighting Ossoff’s personal connection to listening to medical experts in enacting a national health strategy to combat the COVID-19 pandemic – Ossoff’s wife, Dr. Alisha Kramer, is a frontline health care worker in Atlanta.
The ad closes with Obama underlining the high stakes in the runoff election as he urges Georgians to vote like their lives depend on it and send Ossoff to the U.S. Senate.
President Obama endorsed Ossoff in September and came to Georgia in November to campaign for him and Reverend Raphael Warnock in their U.S. Senate races.
