AJC: “Collins’ campaign declined comment… Several questions remain unanswered…” 

Sen. Ossoff: “… He refuses to answer whether his business has paid this neo-Nazi propagandist. He refuses to answer why he’s allowing neo-Nazi propaganda to be produced on his property. When you ask him at a press conference, he flees. When you send his campaign a request for comment, you don’t get answers.”

Atlanta, Ga. — Today, Senator Jon Ossoff held a virtual press conference to demand his Republican opponent Mike Collins answer questions on his ties to white nationalists ahead of an event tomorrow in Monroe, Georgia. 

During the press conference, the Senator highlighted new AJC reporting that a neo-Nazi propagandist with “close ties” to Collins continues to spread troubling white nationalist ideology despite the congressman facing widespread backlash on the issue.

For over a month, Collins has been under intense scrutiny for housing this neo-Nazi propagandist, who has been “featured in campaign photos, registered to vote at a Collins-owned property” and “appearing at his victory party.” 

Throughout his bid for U.S. Senate, the number of controversies surrounding Collins’ ties to white nationalism has continued to grow. Collins’ office previously briefed Nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer, some of the most notorious white supremacists in America who attended the Unite the Right hate rally in Charlottesville, on its efforts to free a Holocaust denier from jail. Collins also faces an ongoing federal investigation into his illegal misuse of tax dollars, and outrage over both his antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and praise for a young man who harassed a Black woman by making monkey sounds.

“It’s been more than a month since CNN reported that Congressman Mike Collins has had a neo-Nazi propagandist producing vile neo-Nazi propaganda from Mike Collins’ home,” said Sen. Ossoff. “The congressman won’t answer why his business apparently retained the services of this neo-Nazi propagandist to make content for the congressman’s business. The congressman won’t answer whether his business paid the neo-Nazi propagandist, or just accepted those services as a gift. The congressman won’t answer whether or why he allows this neo-Nazi propaganda to continue to be produced from his property, and the congressman’s office still refuses to release all of the communications between Mike Collins’ office and some of the country’s most notorious white supremacists.”
