Atlanta, Ga. — In this evening’s Atlanta Press Club/Georgia Public Broadcasting debate, investigative journalist and Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Jon Ossoff slammed his opponent, Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.), for failing to pass any economic relief for families and small businesses since the summer.
“Where is Senator Perdue for those who are suffering and need relief? He’s been on his private island trading stocks.”
“We all remember what happened when Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader in the Senate, did everything in his power to obstruct President Obama at every turn, purely out of spite,“ said Ossoff. “And partisanship paralysis like that is untenable in a crisis such as this one.”
