Sen. Ossoff: “Georgia, over the last year, in defiance of his depravity, we’ve marched together in protest, and we’ve gathered at rallies like this one that just keep getting bigger and bigger. We’ve come together in small towns and big cities, in the mountains and on the coast, and on the Georgia farms that feed and clothe the world. And now, Georgia, with just six days to go, I’m here to tell you I have no doubt our victory is near at hand. In six days, our juggernaut coordinated campaign will have turned out the vote like never before to elect Josh McLaurin, Penny Brown Reynolds, Tanya Miller, and Democrats up and down the ballot.”
President Obama: “I want everybody handing our country and our world off to our kids a little better than they are right now. That’s what I want. That’s what you want. So, we didn’t get into this moment overnight. We’re not gonna get out of it overnight. But, Georgia, I also know this. This election can be a start, because if we’re willing to turn out in big numbers across this state, across this country, if we’re willing to vote for change up and down the ballot, then this election might just mark the moment when we begin to leave our worst impulses behind and start aligning our politics with our highest ideals.”
Atlanta, Ga. — Less than one week until Election Day, President Barack Obama, Senator Jon Ossoff, and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms rallied an energized crowd of 10,500 Georgians to get out to vote with two days left before the end of early voting.
During his remarks, President Barack Obama encouraged Georgians to vote for Ossoff and Bottoms, whose speeches come on the heels of recent reporting that Black and young voters “are heading to the polls at a significantly faster clip than during the last midterm election.” According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “early in-person voting among Black Georgians is up 33% compared with the first nine days of voting in 2022, while turnout among voters under 30 has jumped 54%. Among young Black voters, the increase is an eye-popping 80%.”
After extra innings in the messy GOP runoffs in both the U.S. Senate and Governor races, Georgia Democrats are heading into Election Day unified. Ossoff and Bottoms are partnering at the top of the Democratic ticket to build an unstoppable winning coalition that will deliver victories up and down the ballot across Georgia in November.
Meanwhile, GOP U.S. Senate nominee Mike Collins’ scandal-ridden campaign continues to collapse around him, after bombshell CNN reporting revealed that Collins has continued to allow the production of white nationalist and antisemitic content from his property. CNN also unearthed as part of this reporting that Collins promoted political violence in shocking and previously unreported comments where he said that “American military and political leaders deserved to be hanged from a helicopter,” and joked about pushing former Speaker Nancy Pelosi out of an airplane — similar to when he said immigrants should be thrown from helicopters to their deaths. The reporting builds upon the widely-reported ties between Collins and white nationalism, highlighting Collins’ ongoing praise for and years-long friendship with Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers, “the outspoken far-right Republican who was censured by her own state’s Republican-led Senate in March 2022 after speaking at a White nationalist conference and making inflammatory statements about her political enemies.”

Sen. Ossoff: “Mike Collins is a known bigot under federal investigation for the illegal misuse of tax dollars, surrounded at work and at home by white nationalists and neo-Nazis, and unfit for any elected office in the United States. And in his pathetic, childlike devotion to Donald Trump, Mike Collins sold out our state. He voted every time for the war. He voted every time for the tariffs. He voted to double your health insurance premiums, and he voted for the biggest Medicaid cut in history.”
President Obama: “If you want to talk about crazy, let’s take a look at what Mike Collins has been up to. Not only did this guy vote with Donald Trump 100% of the time on Iran, on tariffs, on everything else, he also happens to be under federal investigation by the House Ethics Committee. And that’s for reasons that are entirely separate from what has been called his “summer of scandal,” after it came to light how cozy he was with white nationalists. That’s crazy. And there’s only one commonsense choice in this race, and that is Jon Ossoff.”
